Vol 4: More Flagarant Use of Akward Pauses!

Sorry this took forever, again. I was having an arguement with some idiots over the internet.
Any way, here's a nice look at those Player Two dimensions, where the pallete swaps live... The idea of having a precisely parallel dimension amuses me, but that seems sorta boring.

Video Projects

I was particularly not in the mood to make comics today. So instead, you get a redone blog, fixed, yet incomplete archives, and some old movies me and my friends made. Enjoy.

Vol 4: Tactical Zombies

Monday's Comic, since technically it is Monday here. I'm going to be out tomorrow, so I finished this up and might as well post it now to get it out of the way.

I'm actually a little swamped right now. My room is a total mess, my emulation computer is still not set up/still missing loads of files, I have a copy of Bioshock that's be neglected right now, I start classes on Tuesday, I want to completely redo the blog's layout and set up some other fashions of comic viewing, there's the game that's not getting worked on, as well as a flash animation (a series of which, which will actually wrap up the second season/Vol. 3/The Jackass Strikes Back).

:| DAMN MY AMBITION.

Side Note: Cherry Cola is an awesome song.

Vol 4: Re-Education

This is probably the only comic I've ever made where everything I wanted to put into it didn't fit. First off, after Paul says "great justice," I remembered that Justice is a Guilty Gear character and I was going to put a statue of Justice and Paul, James, etc, worshiping her, but the sprite is too huge to fit in the frame, so I scratched it.

There was going to be more dialog too, but I scrapped it because it wasn't really important, nor that funny. There was going to be a little extra at the end, but I was up to 32 frames and decided I'd save it for next week.

Vol 4: Moving along

Bah. Excuse me, but this comic isn't funny. I've been working on it for like 5 hours, with constant interruptions, no idea where I was going to go with it.

Vol 4: Backshadow.

Bam!Comic! I'll probably explain some of this ONCE I ACTUALLY LEARN FLASH! so yeah, wait and see. Hee hee hee, I have so much stuff planned, and it's all probably going to FAAAAIL!

VIDEO GAME

This is what you get, a really really half-assed video game. Yeah, a couple of days and this is what I got done, a working demo of a shoot-em-up where you play our very own Andy (in an awesome space ship), shooting at flying Seans and spinning Krises. It just keeps going until you die. And you have one life.

Have fun!

Expect a comic today, I'm changing the schedule again.

Vol 4: Boarding Up

OH YEAH, A COMIC. The second time I made this particular comic thanks to Windows Update. Anyway, yeah, you know what's been going on, but whatever, this took like 2 hours I think, which is disgusting. And I'm hungry. But YEAH. COMIC.

Reference to Dawn of the Dead Remake's fast zombies, which was a huge discussion back when it was released. And there's the throw back to Santa's evil twin, which wasssssss in comiiiiiic, gosh, I don't know, but it was the one with the sunglasses joke. You know which one I'm talking about.

Also, lol, Guile's really flat-broom haircut.

Excuses

So, yeah, it's been over a week since a comic. You might be thinking "Hey Brad/Not Dave, you're not doing much but sitting around recovering, sure, you can get out a comic in the mean time." I wish I was recovering. Both my computer and my family's computer have taken shits on me, and are working like crap. I usually go to bleepingcomputer.com for my computer woes, and they usually have the answer. Well, their answer didn't fix my family's desktop, and my efforts did. AOL, I don't have your service anymore and you still give me ulcers! My laptop finally got a clean bill of health today, only to have an epic crash, which took ten minutes to restart and can't reboot in safe mode. :\ What the fuck.

So yeah, I've actually made two comics in the mean time, but they both died. The first one I made on Tuesday, and was mostly complete (last bit to sprite up, set all the frames timings) and my buddy showed up, so I let it be, walked away and played Smash Bros with him. WINDOWS UPDATE. God how I hate Windows update. It restarted my computer while I was away and killed the comic. Similiar story with today's comic. Was working on it, got a call from Esther and talked to her. Then, my computer took a major shit when I walked away and here we are now.

So now I'm jumping through hoops to make sure it'll run again. Maybe they'll be a comic this weekend...

DEADLINE MISSED

Yeah, so I spent all day trying to fix a computer and trying to get an emulation station going in place of my actual classic consoles. Neither of which actually worked. So, yeah, fuck the comic for today. They'll be no make up tomorrow either, because I get to go have surgery. Having my tonsils removed

Vol 4: Zombo.com

So, there was almost no comic at all today, but thanks to some kind over-heated man on the side of the road, it's here!

A storm on Sunday knocked out my phone line, and by extension my internet (DSL, finally got rid of dial-up). We called up AT&T and told them about it and they were like "LOL FIRST THING IN THE MORNING." This is the same AT&T that promised me DSL Q1 of 2003. Ofcourse, no one showed up despite my family's constant calling and complaining. I awoke this morning, and apparently AT&T called us, and said "Eh, maybe Wednesday." Imagine my joy. Regardless, family decided to go see a movie (Live Free and Die Hard, which was awesome, by the way), and on our way down the street, there is an AT&T truck. So, we pull over, mom goes out and talks to the guy, and he heads to our house as he finishes his current job. Woo hoo!

Anyway, I had some problem with this comic, as I wrote it last night when I still had no internet. Originally, Paul and James were just going to cage the Santa Zombie, but I didn't like how it looked, and it wasn't that funny. So I settled for pushing him over and running away instead . It looked okay, was pretty funny, and the ending wasn't as akward, and I get to save another joke for another time.

Also, Andy, I have no clue if you like Dead Rising or not, but I do.

Vol 4: Of Balloons and Alternate Girlfriends

Today's comic comes in kinda late. I just got Xbox Live so I spent most of last night playing that. After about my third match with the same people on F.E.A.R. I realized "Oh shit, I didn't make a comic." So I went upstairs and went to bed. I got up around noon today, had some breakfast, and started working on the comic. Then I watched an episode of Lucky Star, then my girlfriend called, then I finished that same episode of Lucky Star, and now, here's the comic!

There were quite a few technical problems in this comic, basically because I wanted to do a lot of stuff that I didn't have any sprites to go with, like Megan sitting or Esther shielding her head. Also, it's hard to convey emotions like sorrow with the pixel limit of the comic, but I try my best. However, I am very proud of all of Drew's sprites in this comic, as well as Sean busting in through the ceiling's effect.

Technical notes aside, there is a throw back to Sean always calling Drew Kyo and Drew calling Jose Steve-Dave. As for the very first part of the comic, you can consider that a "glomp"or an enthusiastic tackle/pounce, which is often used in the anime sub-culture of the internet and in real life by giggling fan-girls. A man once told me essentially that the main purpose of a glomp is to cannon ball your entire body at the target's chest in hopes of unalligning it's spine so it cannot run from you, and what I have seen, his hypothesis should be accepted as scientific fact.
